100s are killed in Israeli bombing, and the first plane bringing US weapons lands in Israel.

As the conflict entered its fourth day, Israel ramped up its assault on Gaza on Tuesday, increasing rocket assaults and tightening the blockade on supplies of food, gasoline, and medical care.

Three days after Hamas terrorists broke through a fence and began an invasion that resulted in the deaths or kidnapping of over 1,000 Israelis, 

 the Israel Defense Forces reported that it had recovered control over the border with the Gaza Strip early on Tuesday. 

According to American sources, at least 14 Americans are among the deceased.

According to Palestinian sources, more than 300 people have died in Gaza.

1,500 militants' remains, according to Israeli Lt. Col. Richard Hecht, were discovered all throughout southern Israel.

 Hamas health officials reported that more Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in 900 additional fatalities and 4,500 injuries.
