Anyone who thought Deion Sanders would be content with a 27-24 victory over Arizona State on Saturday night was mistaken.
The NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach was completely dissatisfied with his team's performance against the Sun Devils
who required a field goal with 12 seconds remaining to win and escape a three-game skid.Sanders made it clear to the reporters after the game that he was not pleased.
"Wonderful win, played like hot garbage," that's what he said.Despite boasting one of the most talented attacks in the country,
the Buffaloes struggled to move the ball for large stretches of the game against an Arizona State team that has only one win this season.
Of course, the competition level has increased, and two-way standout Travis Hunter has been out for several weeks with a lacerated liver, but the main concern is the Buffaloes' trench play.
Shedeur was under siege for the third week in a row, having been sacked five times and had to scramble countless others. And the running game only gained 56 yards.
Sanders and Colorado may have a few more mediocre performances in store unless that is addressed.
