Five talking points as ESPN announce top 100 NBA players for 2023-24 season

With the 2023-24 NBA season starting later this month, there is great anticipation for what is to come in the coming year.

As each team competes for a title, some of the world's finest basketball players will take center stage on the NBA courts.

The Denver Nuggets enter the season as defending champions after defeating the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals previous season.

In reality, a number of teams will bet big on their prospects of winning the Larry O'Brien Trophy next June.

So far this offseason, many teams have made significant transactions to bring in new players or transfer existing players on.

Bradley Beal left the Washington Wizards to join the Phoenix Suns, while Damian Lillard agreed to terms with

the Milwaukee Bucks, ending his 11-year tenure with the Portland Trail Blazers.

With the new season only a few weeks away, there is an increasing amount of content being generated in the lead-up to

the season's opening night on Oct. 24. ESPN has revealed their list of the top 100 NBA players, complete with their own rankings.

As with any ranking system, whoever is ranked first receives a great deal of scrutiny as to whether the judgment was correct or incorrect.
