Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith Have Been Secretly Separated for Seven Years

Jada Pinkett Smith recently shared a stunning fact about her and Will Smith's marriage: they are no longer together.  

Jada sat down with Hoda Kotb for a candid conversation to promote her upcoming memoir Worthy (out on October 17), 

during which she disclosed that she and Will have been separated and have lived "completely separate lives" since 2016.During an extract from 

the interview (which will show on October 13), she stated that the two are not formally divorced, but are separated. 

They suppressed this knowledge from the public because they were simply not "ready yet" and were "still trying to figure out

During a separate segment of the video, Kotb asked Jada what caused their romantic connection to terminate, to which she said, 

Why it fractured... that's a lot of stuff...We were just tired of trying by the time we got to 2016. I guess we were both still locked in our fantasies of what the other person should be." 

And, while Pinkett Smith admits to considering a legal divorce, she has not been able to follow through on it. "I made a promise that there will never be a reason 

for us to get a divorce," she was quoted as saying. "We'll get through... whatever." I've just been unable to break that vow."
