Outlander's supervisor Matthew B. Roberts opened up about his and the rest of the team's concerns regarding the midseason finale,
notably Jamie Fraser's (Sam Heughan) hand injury in one of the episodes.
Jamie ended up having a finger amputated in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander novels because the digit was so badly broken during the second Battle of Saratoga.
In the show, however, Jamie's finger was saved by his medic wife Claire Fraser (Caitrona Balfe) due to her understanding of twentieth-century medicine.
