Sofia Coppola's 'Priscilla' Sells Worldwide After Premiering in Venice

The Match Factory has sold Priscilla, Sofia Coppola's Priscilla Presley biography, which was one of the most talked-about films

to screen at the Venice Film Festival (where lead star Cailee Spaeny received the Coppa Volpi for best actress).

In addition to the previously announced sales in France (ARP SAS), the film has been distributed in Australia and New Zealand (Madman Entertainment), Spain (Elastica Films and BTeam Pictures)

Switzerland (Filmcoopi), CIS (Capella Film), Scandinavia and Iceland (Nordisk Film), Poland (Best Film), Greece (Spentzos Film), Portugal (Nos Lusomundo), Baltics (Kino Pavasaris), Hungary (ADS), Middle East and North Africa Negotiations

Priscilla will have its North American premiere at the New York Film Festival on Friday, October 6. A24 will handle distribution in the United States, while Vision Distribution, a Sky Company,

will handle distribution in Italy. MUBI holds all rights in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Latin America, the Netherlands, and Turkey. The film will be released in theaters on December 26 

 in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and throughout Latin America, with sub-distribution partners for the remaining markets.

the film also stars Jacob Elordi (Euphoria, The Kissing Booth) as Elvis Presley and Dagmara Dominczyk (Succession, Bottoms, and Other Stories) as Priscilla.

Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment Pictures, a Fremantle Company, Sofia Coppola for American Zoetrope, and Youree Henley produced the picture. The Fremantle Group funded the film.
