Veteran voice actor removed from animated program for anti-Israel comments: 'I only found out through Twitter!'

Tara Strong, a voice actor, has been fired from her position in the indie animated series "Boxtown" following her social media posts concerning the Israel-Hamas conflict.

"Just found out on Twitter!" she said of her termination on Friday on X, previously Twitter. 

"I guess this is what happens when you assist fans get shows developed. I was fired because I am Jewish. I'm glad I could assist you in receiving your Kickstarter funds.

Please disregard my email address and continue to pray for my family in Israel and Gaza. as well as #prayforpeace."

Strong, 50, who has voiced characters on a variety of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon favorites like "The PowerPuff Girls," "Rugrats," "Teen Titans," and others, 

sent the message in response to another from the show's account stating the part will be replaced. 

"Good day, everyone! I just wanted to provide an update on Boxtown. We'll be recasting Bill (formerly portrayed by Tara Strong).
